The committee is weighing whether to give the four officials a 6 percent boost for the first two years and a 4 percent raise for the last two years of the upcoming call. But before committee members end on the change magnitude they wanted to hear from the officeholders themselves about what the jobs require. Kays leads the office charged with keeping records for the 22nd Judicial go. That means that staff members attend court sessions with 15 judges electronically visualise about 500,000 documents each year and have more personal communicate with the public than any other governmental office in the county. With a projected 4 percent raise they will make $89,530 next year - the last year of their terms.“In the real world people with similar positions get paid similar amounts with a be,” said committee member Sandra Salgado. R-McHenry. “I’m not married to the idea that everybody should be paid the same.”Ed Dvorak. R-Crystal Lake said the information gathered from the sessions would help members make those salary decisions. The committee is expected to consider the increases Sept. 10. Kays who will retire at the end of this term told committee members that it was important to weigh the office and not the officeholder when establishing the salaries.“You won’t be funding my salary,” he said. “What you are doing is funding the salary of the McHenry County clerk of the circuit court and I believe that’s how it should be.”
" Gee with Ms. Lantz's logic all county employees should be paid the same contend. That's a wonderful idea. I would think everyone should be getting about $50,000.00 a year. That means she ordain be getting a pay cut. Ms. Lantz said. "as long as elected officials were serving the same constituency they deserved to make the same salary." Why just forbid at elected officials. I undergo friends who are county employees and also answer the "same constituency". They however are currently making well under $40,000.00 a year - they will be looking forward to their pay raises! Ms. Lantz is up for re-election with this attitude and with this logic it is measure for dress! "
